This was my very first fashion runway shoot, and it was pretty cool. It was a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be! And I am really happy with my shots. I posted some of what I think are the best ones :)
We set this photo shoot up at Saltair... it was awesome! Here are some samples... and they will be uploaded to iStock soon! A special thanks to all models involved, and the students from Sherman Kendall’s Academy of Beauty Art & Sciences.

We made a total mess in the studio today... it was so much fun! Feathers were EVERYWHERE! Heidi and I exchanged our lights for better ones today, and all the suden we are totally motivated for photo shoots... a pillow fight with feathers was one of the first things that came to my mind. We actually brainstormed a few other super cool ideas... which will be coming soon. Anyways, the lucky kids in the pic to the left had so much fun... there are a ton more shots from tonight that will be coming through the queue soon. Heidi (Anglesey on iStock) got some amazing ones (Im so jealous)... cant wait to see them online!
I was going through my pics from this year, and ran into a little series of refection shots of me and some friends. Thought I would post a few just for fun :)

This photo shoot is going to happen on October 1st near the Salt Flats or Soltaire... let me know if you are in town (SLC) and interested in going. Several models are also willing to sign model release forms. They would also like a CD of the images for their personal use.

This shoot turned out pretty cool. Here are some pics:
8/21/06 Heidi (Anglesey on iStock) called me up today and asked me to go for a drive with her to look at a cool spot for taking photos. So while we were driving, I could tell Heidi was a little anxious, lol. I wasnt sure what was going on, but I knew something was up! So we pulled up to a building, and she says wait here... and then went upstairs to grab something. Then we went downstairs and she opened the door to an empty studio space. She says its ours if we want it!! I couldnt believe it!! OMG... I think I am still in shock... we will be opening our very first portrait studio in down town SLC, Utah! We hope to have it up and running by the 1st of September... I will post some pics as our studio develops.
8/23/06 Update:
This is part of our new studio space. We worked
on it from about 9 am until about 9:30 pm today. It only shows a corner of the space to the left, but I just wanted to show our nifty paint job.
It will be so much fun getting in some track lighting, prints and some lighting equipment!
8/26/06 Update:
We got a new lighting kit and tested it out on my little sister today. I posted an example pic on the right. Tomorrow is the big day to start moving stuff into the studio! We are so excited, but still have sooo much stuff to buy and do.
8/27/06 Update:
We spent another 6 hours today painting, cleaning and moving some stuff into the studio. We decided to go with black instead of green. We are both ending up sacrificing items from our own homes, lol. I think it is coming along beautifully!
8/29/06 Update:
The lights are in the studio, and we tested them out today! YAY! I am starting to look into backdrops and props.... they cost so much freaking money, so I am also looking into making my own. We will see. I know I could make some cool stuff, its just a matter of finding the right materials.
Today we played around with the lights in the studio a little more. I also tried making my own archway prop, lol. I plan on getting some fake vines and wrapping them around it. I just happened to have a friend that works for a foam recycling company and I can get as much as I want.
