I have been having fun with my girls... taking them out, playing, going to the zoo, and stuff. This time with them is so awesome and we have been needing this for about 2 years now. It's been tough being a single mother and working full time. I have to admit, I like being a little old fashion and spending more time with my kids instead of having someone else raise them. So finally everything has come together where I can do that... work from home, enjoy life, my wonderful boyfriend, my beautiful kids, photography, etc.
Todd and I opened up our own home portrait studio... it is called BellaOra Studios. It means beautiful moment in Italian. We are working hard on our new web site, which should be up within the next few weeks. We shoot pretty much everything... commercial, portraits, product, etc. We are in our first week of business and are already doing well.
We are planning a trip to Seattle in July which I am really excited for. And then a trip to Italy within the next year. It will be a killer trip because I have always wanted to go there, and Todd speaks Italian fluently. I can just picture the beautiful morning light of the sun, and sitting out on the street in front of a little cafe. My friend Russ read my tarot cards last night and he felt that money and travel in my near future, hehehe.
Anyways, life is good - I am more than happy to leave 2005-2007 in the past and move on to 2008 and my exciting future!!

I am sooo loving flim photography. I have been shooting with my Hasselblad and a Holga that I borrowed from my work. I still haven't hit the dark room, but it will happen some time soon. My work actually has a dark room in the basement, its just not up and running yet. Anyways... I am in a total experimental phase with the Holga. The first roll I took was B & W and came out pretty nice (on the left). There are more posted in my flickr account. The second roll was color, double exposures and cross processed (on the right). LOL... I pretty much only got two descent shots out of that one.
This is just the beginning... I plan to do a lot more experimenting, hehehe.
was on my external hard drive... I bought it about 2 months ago. Unfortunately it just crashed (the brand is Seagate) - so I am going to see if I can send it in and if they can retrieve all of my work and send a new hard drive!
I am having so much fun shooting with my Hasselblad. I nicknamed it my Hassy.
This post is a test...I am uploading this pic from Flickr to Vox.. crazy!
I have known about Flickr for years... and I finally signed up. Now I am having a ton of fun blogging with my photos. So I will be over there for now. I am sure I will come back here from time to time to update this blog as well. Hehehe

Wow, Its getting hard to keep up on all of my photo shoots, lol. Todd set up an awesome skateboard shoot with his friend Brinton. We went to Fairmont Skate Park during an event (something for the boys and girls club) and set up some lights. Todd has a cool speed flash light set up that was fun to shoot with. Here are a couple of my shots from that night...
On another night, Christel was in the mood to be creative... so she threw on some crazy, cool makeup and came over. When Todd came home he got a shot of me and christel rocking out, hehehe. We were having fun singing on my little karaoke machine.
Lets see...what else?
Todd and I got to do another shoot with Kate. I think the photos turned out awesome! Oh and at one point during the shoot she took a picture of us, lol. There are a ton of awesome shots from this shoot, but it might take me a little while to get to them.
So much has changed for me in such a short amount of time!
My life is the opposite that it was last year, lol. I am in a great relationship, I am moving into a killer apartment (next week!), I am going to be able to spend more time with my kids after the move, I have an awesome job... and am really happy! So, I am planning to be a lot more organized here within the next month or so.
Oh, and I quit smoking, lol. I am on day number 3... and am doing it pretty much cold turkey.
YAY!!
I did a shoot for Getty with Katerina... she flew in from Florida, and asked me to shoot her while she was here. She was super fun to work with. Here are a few of the shots:
I also went on a photo trip to Snow Basin Canyon(?) this morning with Todd. It was the first time I ever shot snowboarders... so I was super excited to get some of that in my portfolio. I didn't have any snow boots, so I was slipping all over the place, and almost got ran over, hahaha. Once we started shooting, I didn't notice the cold, It actually wasn't too bad up there.
Todd brought his speed flashes, which worked out real nice. I am really starting to appreciate using those for lighting more and more. Its just more convenient to carry around, and looks great.

Awesome! I ended up setting one up but I need to wait til I get home to upload more images. Thanks read more
